Nest was constructed for a flamingo specimen in the collection of The Rooms (St. John's, NL). The bird was blown off course in the 1970's and seen by a fisherman flying across Newfoundland; the flamingo was shot and later donated to the museum's collection. This exhibition (In Some Far Place, curated by Mireille Eagan) marks the first time the bird was displayed to the public.
